My first experience with listing on the direct on the internet to be listed on the MLS was with House Pad. I found House Pad through their conduit “a Tribune Co.” which was a superfluous total ripoff! House Pad was lousy to deal with and unnecessarily expensive. So when my wife and I decided not to sell our house in Shaker but sell our magnificently gut renovated 2,400 sf condo – we tried Ohio Broker Direct, this time with some experience behind us. As you know Julie and I have become your true admirers. No brokerage firm, i.e., Howard Hanna, that I have dealt with in the past 45 years has more integrity, brains and concern for their client’s outcome. Although we have not met in person, after numerous phone calls and your good advice and “hand holding” we know there is no one better to deal with than you. Listing by owner is the best way to avoid all the BS involved with a local listing agent who only wants a listing and then wants to beat the price down to make their life easier. So anyone who wants to have some control over the process of selling their own home, and wants to speak directly with the “showing agent” not just to hear objections, but to determine how the showing agent responded to and dealt with objections, should go directly to you. My opinion is based on my experience with you, and from selling homes in the past, and from 45 years of personal experience as a real estate consultant to investors in commercial real estate and real estate private placements. I know brokers like Howard Hanna are afraid of the growing awareness they are not the best way to sell a house, because buyers now drive this process by looking on the internet for houses for sale and then either contacting the seller direct, or directly through you or by calling their own “buyer’s agent.” And of course you immediately sent me contact information as soon as you were contacted! I did not assume you would be an adjunct advisor, but that’s what you do and we are grateful. Please use me as a reference – you are the best! Thanks for everything!
